1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect your email address, name if provided, password in encrypted or hashed form through our authentication provider, and Apple ID information if you use Sign in with Apple.

Game Progress

To save your adventure, we store gameplay information such as your current story, progress, character health, inventory, party members, locations visited, choices made, recent conversation history needed to maintain story context, and favorites.

Subscription and Usage

We may collect subscription plan or entitlement status, how many story choices you have used, and purchase or subscription information provided by the App Store.

Automatic Information

We may collect device and app information needed for login, notifications, security, diagnostics, service operation, and information about when you use the app and which features you access.

2. How We Use Your Information

Google Services

We use Google services for cloud storage, AI story generation, push notifications, and infrastructure. AI features may require sending relevant game context to an AI service.

Apple

Apple may process information for App Store payments, subscriptions, Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and device services.

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, prevent fraud, or enforce our terms.

4. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections, secure credential handling, protected cloud storage, and limited access to user data.

No online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete your account and associated data, request a portable copy of certain data, object to or restrict certain processing, and turn off notifications in iOS Settings.

6. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account in Account Settings. Account deletion removes account information and gameplay data associated with your account, subject to limited exceptions where retention is required or permitted for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, tax, accounting, or compliance reasons.

Deleting your StoryForge account does not cancel an active App Store subscription. You must cancel subscriptions separately through your Apple ID settings. Apple may retain transaction records according to its own policies and legal obligations.

7. Age Restrictions

StoryForge is intended only for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe someone under 18 has used StoryForge or provided personal information, contact us. We will review the request and take appropriate action, which may include restricting access or deleting information where required or appropriate.

8. Push Notifications

If you enable notifications, we may send messages about new stories, app updates, account activity, special features, or promotions. You can disable notifications anytime in iOS Settings.

9. International Users and Data Storage

StoryForge operates from the United States. Your information may be stored or processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. If applicable law requires specific safeguards for international transfers, we use available transfer mechanisms and service-provider commitments designed to support compliance.

10. What We Do Not Do

• We do not show third-party ads in StoryForge.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• We do not use third-party ad pixels or advertising analytics tools in the app.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top. For material changes, we may provide notice where practical or required by law.

Continued use of StoryForge after an updated policy becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
