1. Age Requirement

You must be 18 or older to use StoryForge. If you are under 18, you cannot create an account or use the app.

We may suspend, restrict, or delete any account if we reasonably believe the account was created or used by someone under 18, or if continued access would violate these Terms, applicable law, App Store requirements, or our safety and compliance obligations.

2. Your Account

Creating an Account

When you sign up, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, not share your account, notify us if someone uses your account without permission, and take responsibility for activity on your account.

Multiple Accounts

Do not create multiple accounts to get around usage limits or other restrictions. We may suspend, restrict, or delete accounts that violate this rule.

3. What You Can and Cannot Do

You Can

• Use the app for personal entertainment.
• Play stories and enjoy AI-generated content.
• Subscribe to premium tiers for more content.

You Cannot

• Copy, modify, or redistribute the app.
• Reverse engineer, hack, disrupt, or interfere with the app or our servers.
• Use bots, scripts, automated tools, or methods that bypass limits.
• Share your account or use the app for anything illegal, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent.

4. Ownership

CraftedPath owns StoryForge, including the app, code, story content, graphics, designs, name, and branding. You receive permission to use the app, but you do not own any part of it.

You own your choices and decisions. By playing, you allow us to store gameplay data to run the service and use anonymized or aggregated gameplay data to improve the app and AI features.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

StoryForge may offer free and paid tiers, subscriptions, trials, and optional purchase packs. Prices, limits, features, and availability may vary by region, platform, app version, and App Store configuration.

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's payment, subscription, cancellation, and refund policies. We do not control Apple's refund decisions.

Subscriptions may auto-renew unless canceled through your Apple ID settings before renewal. Deleting your StoryForge account does not cancel an App Store subscription.

6. AI-Generated Content

StoryForge uses AI to create narratives, dialogue, action choices, outcomes, and game state changes. AI content can be unpredictable and may occasionally be inaccurate, inconsistent, unexpected, or include mature themes.

You use AI-generated content at your own risk. AI output does not reflect our views or opinions. Story content generated during gameplay is provided for use inside StoryForge and may not be redistributed or commercialized without permission.

7. Service Availability and Changes

We do not guarantee that StoryForge will always be available, bug-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device or service. Downtime may occur because of maintenance, technical issues, third-party services, emergencies, or other events.

We may update, modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features, stories, subscriptions, prices, limits, or AI behavior. Where practical or required, we may notify you of major changes by a reasonable method.

8. Account Termination

You can delete your account through Account Settings. Account deletion removes data associated with your account, subject to limited exceptions where retention is required or permitted by law, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, tax, accounting, or compliance obligations.

We may suspend, restrict, or delete accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, commit fraud, use bots, create multiple accounts to bypass limits, harass others, or do anything illegal or harmful.

9. Privacy

Your use of StoryForge is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

10. Push Notifications

If you enable notifications, you may receive new story announcements, promotional messages, account messages, and important app updates. You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings.

11. Disclaimers

The app is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will work perfectly, that AI content will satisfy you, that data will never be lost, or that third-party services will always work.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CraftedPath is not liable for lost data, profits, opportunities, issues caused by AI-generated content, third-party service problems, bugs, errors, downtime, or indirect or consequential damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our maximum liability is the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, or $100, whichever is higher. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limits may not apply to you.

13. Your Responsibility

You agree to protect CraftedPath from legal claims arising from your misuse of the app, violation of these Terms, violation of law or others' rights, or content you submit where applicable.

14. Third-Party Services

StoryForge relies on third-party services such as Apple, Google, and backend hosting providers. We are not responsible for third-party services, and those services have their own terms and privacy policies.

15. Disputes and Legal Terms

These Terms are governed by United States law, except where local law requires otherwise. Contact us first so we can try to resolve concerns informally.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, disputes must be resolved individually and not as part of a class action. Some disputes may be subject to binding arbitration unless an exception applies, such as small claims court, intellectual property disputes, or emergency relief.

16. Apple Requirements

• These Terms are between you and CraftedPath, not Apple.
• Apple is not responsible for StoryForge or its content.
• Apple does not provide support or maintenance for StoryForge.
• You confirm that you are not in an embargoed country or on a restricted parties list.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top. For material changes, we may provide notice where practical or required by law. Continued use of StoryForge means you accept the updated Terms.

18. General Legal Terms

If any part of these Terms is invalid, the rest still applies. Our failure to enforce a rule does not waive our right to enforce it later. You cannot transfer your account or these Terms without our permission. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the complete agreement between us for StoryForge.
